Description

When you remove invasives, you use your hands and arms a lot. So it's important that you protect them. Gloves are essential. In my experience, it's worth investing in high-quality gloves that give you more protection and last longer.

If you do lots of work with thorny species, like multiflora rose and buckthorn, you might consider getting gloves that cover up your forearms.

Alternatively, you can also consider getting a pair of arm chaps.

Usage Tips

Check for holes and rips before heading out.

Recommendation for Occasional Use

I recommend the Wells-Lamont Hydra Hyde glove. They are durable and fit snugly.

I just wish they came in Small, but they only go down to Medium.

And the best place to buy them is Costco, especially when you buy them in packs of 6.

Recommendation for Intensive Use

I also recommend the Wells-Lamont Hydra Hyde glove or intensive use.

In addition, as mentioned above, if you are doing intensive work with very thorny plants, you might consider a pair of Arm Chaps: heavy duty leather sleeves that hook around your thumb to keep them in place.
